In 2007 our beautiful church was in dire need of repair and Our Lady of Poland started a $1 million fund-raising campaign for the renovations, which had become essential for the church to stay in service. Under the leadership of our pastor, Fr. Stanley Kondeja, $1.2 million dollars was raised. Our church was completely rebuilt. On Christmas Eve 2008 at 5PM, exactly 90 years after the first Mass was ever celebrated, a special Mass was held in the newly renovated church to a standing-room only crowd. Fr. Stanley received a standing ovation from all the appreciative parishioners. In May 2009, an official rededication Mass was celebrated with Bishop William Murphy of the Diocese of Rockville Centre presiding. Enjoy this video of the rededication Mass created by Marsha Terry! Thank you Marsha!
