TOUR OF OUR LADY OF CZESTOCHOWA
On Wednesday, November 24, a copy of the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Czestochowa will arrive at Our Lady of Poland and stay for one week until December 1st. This portrait, which was dedicated on August 26, 2021 at Jasna Gora, Poland, is currently peregrinating to Polish parishes along the East Coast in thanksgiving of the 150th anniversary of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church in Manhattan, the oldest Polish parish on the East Coast. It will ultimately be sent to Uganda, where a Children’s Village is being built - an orphanage for 200 children under the care of Father John Bashobora and the chapel of Our Lady of Czestochowa. During the tour of the Image of Our Lady, funds will be collected for the construction of the orphanage.
On Wednesday, November 24th, our parish will be entrusted during a 7:00PM Mass which will be celebrated by Father Karol Jarzabek OSPPE, pastor of the parish of St. Stanislaus B&M in Manhattan. A group of volunteers from the Good Samaritan Community will speak for a few minutes at all Masses the weekend of November 27th and 28th. All are welcome to join this special pilgrimage over Thanksgiving weekend to give thanks for all the gifts we have received.
